About the event

There is nothing more important than a safe space for teens to be themselves and learn to become mature young adults. Through these workshops, adolescent teens learn the social and emotional skills needed to grow into mature young adults and productive members of their communities.

Some of the topics we discuss are:

  1. Leadership Development: Empowering them to develop leadership skills, such as decision-making, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  2. Emotional Intelligence: Promoting emotional awareness and teaching strategies for managing emotions, building resilience, and developing empathy and positive relationships.
  3. Goal Setting and Time Management: Assisting them in setting achievable goals, creating action plans, and effectively managing their time to maximize productivity and success.
  4. Conflict Resolution and Peer Mediation: Providing tools and techniques to navigate conflicts peacefully, promote healthy communication, and foster constructive problem-solving among peers.
  5. Cultural Awareness and Diversity: Encouraging them to embrace and appreciate diverse cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives, fostering inclusivity and respect.
  6. Career Exploration and Work Readiness: Eexploring various career options, developing essential job skills, and preparing for the workforce through internships, mentorship, and skill-building activities.
  7. Financial Literacy: Essential financial knowledge, including budgeting, saving, investing, and understanding concepts like credit, debt, and financial planning.
  8. Health and Wellness: Promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being through education on healthy lifestyle choices, stress management, nutrition, and self-care practices.
  9. Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility: Participate in their communities, fostering a sense of social responsibility, and promoting engagement in volunteerism, activism, and community service.
